Book Review: His Christmas Delight by Summerita Rhayne

Here’s my take on His Christmas Delight by Summerita Rhayne.

Front Cover - His Christmas Delight by Summerita Rhayne

Myra is determined to steal from Santa. But she discovers a surprise in store for her because Santa is someone all too familiar! Soon she’s chatting and recapping old times with her high school friend Jay. He has changed and so have a lot other things. The attraction between them is all too patent and she’s one for throwing caution to the winds.
Jay has his issues and she finds him holding back at every turn. Will she be able to surmount the barriers between them? This is one Christmas she’s not spending alone.
Set in Goa, this romance novella is light hearted and heartwarmingly serious by turns.

His Christmas Delight, as termed A Christmas Romance, engulfs the journey of Jay and Myra – together.

Jay, being a patient of PTSD, has been habitual of hiding his feelings from everyone and cornering himself alone. Then one day, he accidentally bumps into Myra at the toy store – of his brother Paul – where his life begins to change.

The story then proceeds with Myra and Jay being affectionate towards each other, swinging with several romantic rides amidst the read.

The author has put great efforts at portraying the romance, and also the expressions of the characters are vivid and beautiful. The cover is appropriate for the story, kudos for that. The story includes erotic scenes too – portrayed well.

I would like to give this book 3.5 stars out of 5.

Though the struggle of Jay has been painted aptly, the story – at some places – loses the required pace that is needed. An unnecessary stretch to the conversations and not-so-natural usage of dialogues at few places stand out to be noticeable. The plot may turn predictable towards the end.

The story has all the elements to give you a wonderful romantic read, and also the author has succeeded in describing the scenarios and happenings in a great way. The language used is lucid and breezy as well. The editing of the story is up to the mark, indeed.

Overall, His Christmas Delight is delightful and recommended read to the lovers of romance books; and provides you with a promising and an engaging read.
